Geoff completed his training in 1982, going on to work for practices in London, including Burrell Foley Fischer. In 1994 he established Pyle Associates, building up a portfolio of projects for private and local government clients, mainly in the arts, residential, health and commercial sectors.

Early in 2003 he established a presence in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and carried out a number of architectural consultations in the region, in addition to researching modern architectural heritage in Cambodia and consulting for UNESCO. He also promotes sustainable architecture - a long-term interest. He has an MPhil in the History and Philosophy of Architecture and has been a visiting lecturer at architectural schools in London, Nottingham and Liverpool. He is fascinated by all stages of making buildings and how they resonate with their users and owners. His prize-winning drawings have been exhibited at the RIBA and the Royal Academy, London.

Throughout his career Geoff has worked with BFF on a wide variety of projects including Harbour Lights, a new build arthouse cinema in Southampton and the Almeida Theatre, Islington. Recently he has worked with Mark Foley on a new academic building, including six state-of-the-art science laboratories, for Kingham Hill School and the remodelling of the front-of-house areas of the Grade II listed Cambridge Arts Theatre.
