Jasmin Kiln
BA(Hons) PGDip ARB

Associate

Jasmin has considerable experience working with historic listed buildings and scheduled monuments, and on projects funded by NLHF and various Levelling Up funding streams. Throughout her career she has primarily worked in the Arts & Culture sectors on projects including the V&A Dundee.

Jasmin is passionate about design, materiality, and detail. She is an enthusiast for sustainable design and is particularly interested in the lifecycle impact of building and the reuse of structure and materials. She has completed the RIBA Conservation Course and is working towards becoming a registered conservation architect.

Since joining Burrell Foley Fischer, Jasmin’s projects have included York Guildhall, the refurbishment, remodelling and extension of the Grade I Listed Guildhall and surrounding listed buildings on a sensitive riverfront site. She delivered the Kidderminster Creative Hub project to RIBA Stage 2, the transformation of a Grade II listed former carpet factory into a contemporary multi-functional arts and cultural development, and co-working and research space.

Her current and recent projects include a Masterplan for Westminster Under School and the refurbishment of the Grade II* listed, Aldenham House set in once famous Victorian gardens which are on the Historic England Parks and Garden Register for Haberdashers Boys School. Jasmin has acted as Project Architect through to the completion of Stage 3 including detailed and complex negotiations with Hertsmere Conservation Officer and Historic England to deliver a finely detailed Planning and Listed Building Consent Application. She has managed the coordination of the competing demands within the project to open up the house to pupils whilst respecting the heritage fabric and meeting exacting fire and acoustic strategies.

Prior to BFF Jasmin gained specialised experience in developing high quality Historic, Museum and Gallery projects, including a central role in the restoration and remodelling of Grade I Gainsborough’s House. She worked closely with the wider team; including business planners, activity planners, the design team, NLHF monitors, and the local planning authority.
