Lara Kerrison

Lara joined Burrell Foley Fischer in 2025, and is currently involved in the studio’s cultural projects, including a new-build theatre in Andover and a study to regenerate The Harlington entertainment venue in Fleet, Hampshire.
Prior to joining the practice, she spent 10 years specialising in arts and cultural projects at Aedas Arts Team working on a diverse range of schemes, from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s state-of-the-art Milton Court extension, through to the refurbishment and extension of the Grade II* listed Victoria Palace Theatre for Sir Cameron Mackintosh. She has developed considerable experience in the technical requirements of performing arts venues, having spent over 3 years in the role of Architect and Theatre Planner at the renowned theatre consultancy Theatreplan prior to joining BFF.
Lara studied at the University of Cambridge (RIBA Part 1) and at the University of Bath (RIBA Part 2 and 3). She has an interest in environmentally responsible design, and was shortlisted for the RIBA President’s Medal for Dissertation for her final university thesis on ‘The Challenges of Sustainable Theatre Design’. She was one of the members of a selected discussion group to contribute to the Theatres Trust’s Theatre Green Book, aimed at promoting more resilient performance buildings with a lower carbon footprint.
