SUMMIT at Alexandra Palace – The UK’s Highest Roof Walk

A thrilling new way to experience the capital is coming. ‘Summit,’ London’s newest roof-top adventure and the highest roof walk in the UK (130 metres above sea level), opens at Alexandra Palace on Saturday 14 February 2026.

This fully guided, one-of-a-kind experience invites visitors to scale the roof of Ally Pally and take in uninterrupted panoramic views stretching 25 miles across the city. Burrell Foley Fischer were delighted to assist the Trust with obtaining Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the roof walk.

For more than 150 years, Alexandra Palace has been one of London’s most beloved landmarks. Now, with ‘Summit’, visitors will be able to reach entirely new heights, discovering its history and breath-taking skyline vistas from a completely fresh perspective.

Created by Wire & Sky, the experts behind the Dare Skywalk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Cutty Sark rig climb, Liverpool’s Anfield Abseil and previously Up at The O2, ‘Summit’ is set to soar above North London. The hour-long journey will lead climbers to the famous Angel of Plenty statue before opening out to a 360-degree view of the capital.

With specialist guides leading the way, guests will follow a purpose-built route taking in world-famous landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Canary Wharf and multiple major stadiums. There will be plenty of time to pause, enjoy the view and capture unforgettable photos before returning safely to ground level.

‘Summit’ will offer three standard climb types:

  • ‘Daytime Climbs’ for stunning wide-open views

  • ‘Sunset Climbs’ for golden hour skies

  • ‘London Lights Climbs’ for a dazzling panorama after dark

There will also be options for group climbs, charity fundraisers, private climbs and educational climbs, making ‘Summit‘ suitable for team-building, special occasions and school groups.

Lucy Fenner, Commercial Director at Alexandra Palace, says;

“For more than 150 years, Ally Pally has been the People’s Palace, a place where everyone can come to experience something truly special, and we’re thrilled to add Summit to that legacy. This new rooftop adventure offers a completely new perspective on the Palace, with stunning panoramic views across London.”

Andy Broad, Managing Director of Wire & Sky, added:

“We’re thrilled to bring Wire & Sky rooftop adventures to Alexandra Palace, an iconic London landmark with history, entertainment and incredible views”.
