BArch MArch ARB
Rebecca Acheampong joined Burrell Foley Fischer in June 2023 and has since been primarily involved in the refurbishment of educational and cultural projects within heritage settings, working across all project stages from feasibility through to construction and completion.
Rebecca’s more recent BFF projects include the refurbishment of the Grade II* listed Union Chapel Sunday School Hall into an events venue, and the masterplan for the Grade II listed ‘Town Gardens’ in South Swindon, which includes the renovation and extension of The Bowl, an Art Deco outdoor amphitheatre.
Prior to joining the practice, Rebecca studied Architecture at the University of Sheffield School of Architecture (SSoA), where she completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, graduating with Distinction. During her studies, she developed a strong appreciation for community-led architecture and its critical role in shaping meaningful, socially responsive spaces. Through initiatives such as the SSoA Live Projects programme, she was able to take on active, leadership roles as a student community developer, collaborating with a diverse range of inspiring clients to support the growth and development of their communities.
Alongside her professional work, Rebecca is a mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the life chances of high-achieving young people from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds. In her mentoring role, she works to make careers such as architecture more accessible to those who may lack guidance or role models within their communities.
