Sam has over 25 years’ experience in successful project delivery and her portfolio includes a wide range of buildings including residential and healthcare sector projects. She has been involved in every stage of the design process from initial briefings to detailed design, through to completion on site.  Sam works closely with the various stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met with an architecturally elegant and appropriate solution.

She has a particular knowledge of environmental design having designed and built an eco-house, and all her recent buildings have achieved rigorous environmental standards using BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes or similar. Sam also has an MA in Fine Art and is particularly interested in creating beautiful and appropriate environments for all types of architecture.

Sam is Project Architect for a re-imagination of a complex listed building to create the Kidderminster Creative Hub. The project involves the conversion of a Grade II listed ex-carpet factory into a focus for the creative industries in North Worcestershire, incorporating new build and restoration work on a tight urban site, adjacent to a new public square. She led the construction phase of the award-winning DARTeC new build research institute at Cranfield University and was also Project Architect for a 41 apartment public sector housing project in Islington. Sam is currently working with the University of Brighton on the refurbishment of Mithras House, on their Moulescombe Campus, to form a new home for the School of Humanities and Social Science.

Sam has also worked extensively on listed buildings including re-purposing churches and chapels, and even a castle, for new uses whilst preserving the historic fabric and respecting the craftsmanship, history and ambiance of these special places.
