Burrell Foley Fischer is looking for an ARB registered Architect to join its London studio.

You need to be a team player, a good communicator, happy to work directly with a range of expert consultants and interested in broadening your skills. We are looking for a self-motivated, confident individual with a strong understanding of the role of architecture in the modern world and a belief in social and sustainable value for the projects they work on.

The successful candidate will, over time, be involved across a range of sectors and workstages, but should have already worked as an architect at all RIBA Stages 1-6 on significant projects. This must include experience of detail design, producing construction packages and projects on site. 3D CAD skills are essential and experience of Vectorworks and BIM preferred.

conservation architect

Burrell Foley Fischer is a nationally recognised practice of Architects and Designers, with an established reputation for innovative and award-winning Conservation Architecture. From our London studio we work on projects across the country and overseas in the arts, cultural, education, residential and sporting sectors.

Our current projects include the restoration and repurposing of Listed Buildings at Grade I, II* and II. These include theatres, cinemas, creative and community hubs, racecourse stadiums, churches, universities, and independent schools.

We are looking for a qualified architect with strong conservation experience. You need to hold a recognised Conservation Architecture qualification (RIBA or AABC) or be in the process of applying for one.

As a candidate you should be a confident and self-motivated individual, keen to take responsibility for a project and with excellent management and team-building skills and the ability to communicate well with clients, other design team members, contractors and your colleagues.

You should have experience of the National Lottery Heritage Fund funding process, writing and delivering Quinquennial Reports, Conservation Plans, Risk Registers, Management & Maintenance Plans, and Heritage Impact Assessments.

Experience of working on traditional construction contracts in the UK, including conservation specification writing, and acting as Contract Administrator is essential. Experience of Vectorworks and BIM is an advantage.
